We are the TAMU PRIDE Lab. PRIDE stands for Psychology Research in Inclusion, Diversity, & Employment. Our research lab focuses on disclosure of hidden stigmas (LGBT, early stages of pregnancy, religion, invisible disabilities, etc.) but we examine all aspects of diversity and discrimination.

Jonathan BaileyGraduate Student
j.bailey@tamu.edu curriculum vitae Jonathan Bailey is a Ph.D. student in the TAMU Industrial-Organizational Psychology program. His research interests include workplace diversity and inclusion, stigma and identity management, employee performance-based objectification, and employee burnout. Jonathan has a BA in psychology from Rice University. Other hobbies and interests include organizing and playing TTRPGs, copywriting, blogging, and object-oriented programming. |

My research interests include identity management, particularly gender identity, and approaches to employing inclusive, person-focused research methodology. I currently facilitate the undergraduate Diversity and Inclusion Committee (DIVE IN) and am a member of the graduate D&I group. I have a BA in psychology from Portland State University and a BFA in playwriting from New York University. |
Kristen JaramilloGraduate Student
kr1stenjaramillo@tamu.edu curriculum vitae Kristen Jaramillo is a Ph.D. Student in the Industrial-Organizational Psychology program. Her research interests include diversity and discrimination in the workplace; specifically, how numerous identities intersect and differentially impact individuals at work. Kristen received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama in 2016 and worked as a high school AP Psychology teacher in Houston for five years prior to joining the program. She has continued her love of teaching at Texas A&M working as a Graduate Teaching Consultant for the Center of Teaching Excellence. In her freetime, Kristen enjoys Crossfit, biking, hiking, playing with her dog, and watching Netflix. |

Her research focuses largely on discrimination and diversity-related issues in the workplace from a feminist perspective, with specific interests in sexual harassment, body-related stigmatization, and the effects on occupational health and well-being. |

Jacob WallaGraduate Student
jacob.a.walla@gmail.com curriculum vitae Jacob Walla is a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program. Jacob is currently a practicum therapist at the Texas A&M Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). He will begin his doctoral clinical internship with CAPS in August 2022. His research interests include the effects minority stress and stigma on the LGBTQ+ community, identity disclosure/concealment, and bisexual-specific stigma & outcomes. Jacob's clinical interests include the adolescent & emerging adulthood age range, LGBTQ+ issues, identity development, adjustment concerns, and issues of stigma & discrimination. Outside of these roles, Jacob also serves as the Director of Legislation for the Brazos Valley Psychological Association (BVPA). In his free time, Jacob enjoys travel, board games, and going to movie theaters just for the popcorn. |
